Dr. Becky Russell
Dr. Becky Russell grew up in Jefferson County and graduated from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 2002. She lives with her 13 year old daughter and 11 year old son. They have 2 cats, Jasmine and Hobbs. Hobbs is a previous clinic cat rescued by Canyon View. After living most her life in garages, Hobbs is enjoying the comforts of living in a home and loves sleeping on the bed! Dr. Russell gained valuable experience in emergency and critical care medicine working in Arizona at a 24 hour emergency clinic for 10 years. She then moved back to Colorado in 2012 and has been in general practice since then. Her favorite part about being a vet is keeping pets healthy and helping them to live longer. Dentistry and critical care are her major areas of interest. When not working, Dr. Russell enjoys hiking, skiing, playing scrabble, and learning more about sustainable/green housing.
Dr. Paula Bumpers
Dr. Paula Bumpers is from Phoenix, Arizona and graduated with a B.S. in human nutrition. She then obtained her veterinary degree in 1989 from Colorado State University. After graduation, she practiced and traveled in Australia for a year, then took an emergency vet position at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital, now famous for the show “Animal E.R.” She enjoyed emergency and critical care, so she moved to the Washington D.C. area to work for a large 19-veterinarian practice. After working emergency for 7 years, she tired of the city and long work hours, and returned to Colorado. Paula fell in love with the Ken Caryl area, and decided to open Canyon View Animal Hospital here in 1999. She now lives in Willow Springs with her great dane Hudson and 2 cats. During her time off, she enjoys trail running, snowboarding, and working out at the gym. In addition to emergency and critical care, she has a special interest in treating ferrets, rabbits, birds and other exotic pets.
